NOTD - dotty peacock-cock-cock

Here's my first NOTD in ages!  Lately I've been forgetting to take photos of my nails before the polish chips, but I've not been doing anything interesting anyway, just block colours.

When I had a day off last week I decided to make some time to try out my new dotting tools and here are the results.

I used Sally Hansen hard as nails as a base coat and seche vite top coat.  My block nail colour was models own turquoise and for the dots I used models own peach sherbet, lilac dream and pastel pink.

Hmmm - I think I need more practice with the dotting tools!

This is the design which inspired me to have a go - it's rather amazing and my attempt turned out nothing like it!  I found it really hard to line the inner dots up with the outer ones.

It's by Rebecca from the blog Rebecca likes nails  Check out her blog for some rather amazing and very creative nail art.  I've only recently discovered her but she's already inspired me loads, it's just a shame I'm just not half as talented!

What else do you do with your dotting tools other than standard dots?  I need some insp!

Don't forget to enter my blog's second birthday giveaway!
