Soap and Glory kick ass concealer review

I'm pretty annoyed because I wrote this whole post earlier today whilst trying out the blogger app for iphone. Because there were no features to choose the placement of the pictures, I saved the post to edit from my laptop later, but for some reason it's not there any more =(

Needless to say I won't be using that app again.  Aside from it eating my post, the features were pretty lacking.  I'm hoping there's another app I can try which will be better for blogging on the go.  Let me know if you've tried one.

Anyway onto the post... again

I've been a fan of Soap and Glory products for ages and always buy their Christmas gift sets, and regularly buy their skincare, so I was really excited when I heard they'd brought out a make-up range.  The next time I was in Boots I checked out the display and was rather impressed with the choice of products.

As Christmas is coming and I need to be spending my money on presents for people other than me, I restricted myself to trying out just one product to start with, and I picked out the Kick Ass concealer.

Just like all the other Soap and Glory ranges, the packaging is quirky and fun but still gives you all the relevant info.

I got the shade medium as I'm usually the second shade in most ranges, and it looked about right in the funny shop lights.

You get two concealer hues which you can use separately or mix.  I found that mixed together I get an almost perfect colour match for my skin.

There's also a neat little setting powder for giving the concealer some staying power.

The concealer is lovely and creamy so it goes on really easily with no caking or flaking.  The concealer I had been using was a Laura Mercier one and it's really started to dry out and is very hard to work with, so this seemed easy to apply in comparison.

I'm glad I picked this out to try first and I'm totally pleased with it.

Next I really want to try one of the lipsticks or the thick and fast mascara.

Have you tried the Soap and Glory make-up range yet?

  1. I haven't tried any yet but I was interested in the concealer so your post has actually made me want to go have a good look at it (I am very fair and find most "fairs" a little too dark ) x

  7. YES! I just blogged my adoration for some of their new cosmetics things lol and after searching for reviews I stumbled upon your blog! I also purchased the concealer - it's amazing in my opinion! Such a bargain, the whole thing being £10. I also bought the mascara, but haven't tried it yet - may post back if and when I do! The marvelips is awesome too - though I might need to sharpen it already so i can get a more precise outline. xx
