Nails Inc magnetic polishes - Trafalgar Square and Whitehall

I've finally had my first play with some magnetic polishes!

This is Trafalgar square (silver) and Whitehall (green / teal) from Nails Inc.

The way these polishes work is that you apply one coat, allow it to dry and then apply a second coat, just like a normal polish.  But then as soon as you've done the second coat, you hover the magnet in the polish cap directly about your nail and then the magic happens!  There are special magnetic particals in the polish which react to the magnet.  it pulls the polish and creates a wavy design on the nail.

It's a really easy way to get an effective nail art look quickly and simply.

This is my friend Heather wearing Trafalgar square with an accent nail of Whitehall.  Check out her wedding bling!

And this is me with the opposite - Whitehall and then Trafalgar square just on the ring fingers.

And a little close-up that I originally posted to Instagram

Whitehall is definitely my favourite.  I also really like the look of Houses of Parliament - a purple shade which looks like this -

You can buy these direct from nails inc where they are currently offering free postage with orders over £40.  Also, if you like their facebook page they will be offering 50% off if they get to 50,000 likes by 23rd December.  I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for this so that I can get some of their other special effects polishes including one of the gossip girl sets =)

You can also get a set of three metallic polishes plus Kensington Caviar topcoat for just £21.97 (+£3.45 p&p) from QVC. Or you can buy the colours individually for £13 with free postage from feel unique

*Whitehall was sent to me as a PR sample
