Making these took so much longer than I expected, but the end result was the real deal, so I thought I'd show you the process in pictures. Did I mention that it's long...?
I'll only describe the less obvious parts of the process, as you can mostly tell what's going on by the pictures - and I know you're a clever lot obviously :)
After half an hour it should have become fat, like this.
This is the sachet of sodium bicarbonate that comes in the kit, mixed with water. You have to dip each pretzel you've made into this solution before you bake it in the oven.
After some baking time - ta-dah pretzels! Sorry about the random ghostly arm in this pic.
Done! We made all of our pretzels cinnamon sugar flavour, because it's the best.
It literally took us a whole afternoon to make these, but they were amazingly tasty. I'm not sure I could muster up the energy to do all of this again - if I fancy a pretzel I'll probably just buy one!
