Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer review

I was oh so dubious about trying such a cheap (as in price) concealer, but blogging world, you convinced me I should, so I did!

You may remember me posting before about not getting on very well with a Bobbi Brown concealer I had tried, so I wasn't expecting to do well by buying one that costs about a quarter of the price.  It just shows how wrong you can be doesn't it, because this product suits my skin ten times better, and for £4.19 I'm a happy bunny.

This concealer is a lovely liquid and creamy consistency, so it's really easy to apply.  I've been dabbing it on where I need it with the wand, and then buffing it in with my foundation brush.  I chop and change as to whether I put concealer on before or after my foundation, but with this one I've been using it before.

The product is pretty good at covering my dark circles, and it does't cake around the nose area like some products do on me.  It did gather and look a bit cakey on a pesky spot I had, but that could have been because I applied too much, and I also added powder in an attempt to obliterate the spot.

It's called lasting perfection, but I can't agree it lasts all day long on me.  It really does do a good job compared to other concealers I've tried, but if I'm going somewhere after work I have needed to re-touch it.

This concealer comes in four shades - fair, light, medium and deep.  Usually I would have expected I'd need light, the second shade, but when I was in Boots choosing this, it seemed a bit orangey and the medium seemed better so that's what I went for and I've not found it too dark at all.

It's times like this I love being a blogger and a reader of blogs because I find out about great products I wouldn't have otherwise tried :)

Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer costs £4.19 and you can get it from Boots.

Have you tried the lasting perfection concealer?  Do you have any other fab concealer recommendations for me?

  6. I absolutely love this concealer, I"ve tried others recently such as the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer which I hate and the healthy mix one which is very nice just not quite as good coverage as this. This is what I always come back to and as its so cheap I'm not sure why I even bother trying any others!

  8. I find it a bit cakey on spots if I haven't applied enough moisturiser but it is a brilliant concealer nonetheless, I love the wand as well.

  10. I was the same before I boght this, and I kept putting off buying it for so long. Eventually though I snapped it up during the 3for2 offer the other week and I love it! I use it around my nose, under my eyes (over my bobbi brown corrector) and on my brow bone and it brightens up my face sooo much! Love it dearly <3 xxx

  14. I switch between this and Benefits Erase Paste. I think both do a great job but obviously this is much cheaper. I was like you, I bought it because of all the blog hype and I'm sooo glad I did. It's awesome xx

  16. Completely agree, being blog readers definitely means we are let in on a few inside secrets! I'd never have thought of trying a concealer from Collection 2000 as I never buy 'low-end' concealers or foundations - not in a snobby way at, just that I find those to be products it's worth spending a little more on for better quality. That said, I do love Collection's lipsticks, and they are absolutely bargainous. Will have to give this concealer a try, as although I LOVE my Benefit Erase Paste, if something so much cheaper can do the same job then I would definitely be open to it!
