Argan + Precious Oil Elixir review

I was sent the Argan + precious oil to see how it would do at fixing my dry cuticles and skin around my nails.    Every winter I have the same problem with my hands really drying out in the cold weather, so I couldn't wait to give this a go.

*Argan + precious oil elixir | £12.99 | Boots

This oil smells very similar to some of the hair oils I've tried, and I guess it is a similar product, but this one if formulated to intensely hydrate the skin.  I've been using a few drops of this a couple of times a day or as often as I remember, and working it in around my nails.  When you first put this on it instantly makes dry hands and nails feel more comfortable and nourished, and it improves the look of any straggly bits too.  I like to use this before I take any photos of my nails.

After a couple of hours of so the effect does wear off so I'll reapply, but over time it works to restore the damaged skin I have in this area.  I've been using this for the last couple of weeks now and my nails are looking much healthier.

You get quite a large bottle of the oil (50ml) and you only need the tiniest amount, so this will last me ages.  The bottle is designed well so you don't pour out too much - the oil literally comes out drop by drop and my bottle still looks completely full.

I've only been using this on my hands and nails but you can use it to treat any dry areas and you can put it on your hair too.  It's also meant to be good for stretch marks.

Do you get really dry cuticles in winter?

  4. For that price, you get a decent amount! Lush's Lemony Flutter is also a good product for dry cuticles and skin around the nails, and it smells really, really yummy.
