Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch review

Today I'm blogging about something that's been on my wish list for so long.  I don't know why I didn't buy it sooner, and now I've tried it I wish I had.

Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch | £25 | Debenhams

From the first try I fell in love with this primer.  It's a lovely pale pink sweet smelling potion that goes on so smoothly and makes my skin feel velvety.  I use about the amount shown on the spatula for my whole face, or maybe a bit less.  It's quite a small tub (15g) but you don't need a lot.  I think this might last me about 6 - 8 weeks.

I know it sounds cheesy but makeup literally glides on on top of this primer.  I'm pretty sure it's the best primer I've tried in terms of how it feels on my skin and how well my foundation applies on top.  I'd hoped it might be a magic wand for any little lines by filling them in - it doesn't manage that, but they do look a bit smoother.  It certainly makes any large pores seem more refined.

I'm not sure if it makes a difference to how long my makeup lasts as I already use a very long wearing foundation anyway, but I'll be interested to try it with other foundations and to see what happens.

This is fast becoming one of my beauty staples and I'm sure I'll buy it again when I run out.  I might get a back-up when I'm in duty free next month.

Have you tried this?  What's your favourite primer?

Keep up to date with all things flutter and sparkle in any of the following ways -

    1. I've never tried a 'high end' primer before so have nothing in that league to compare it to, but I think it's pretty amazing :)
