Eylure 65th anniversary lashes review

I don't wear false lashes too often, I can't pull them off for everyday wear, but I love to put them on for a night out.  I was given three pairs from the new range by Eylure which each represent a different iconic London look to celebrate 65 years of Eylure.

If I'm going to wear falsies, I like them dramatic, so I reached for the fullest of the pairs - the Chelsea Look.  I trimmed the lashes a bit as I always find false lashes a bit too long for my eyes and I don't like to feel like they're poking at the inner corner.  These were fairly straightforward to apply and came with good glue, so no lashes dropping off in the middle of the night out.  That embarrassingly happened to me once, so if I go out in falsies I always have the glue in my handbag!

My top tip for applying false lashes is to give the glue 20 - 30 seconds to go tacky on the lash before applying it, it always seems to work a bit better for me that way.

Do you have any good tips for applying false lashes?  I'd love to hear them.

  2. Ah these look amazing on you Gem, I haven't even attempted at trying mine yet so might give them a go when I go out next. Although these are dramatic I don't think they look like eyelashes too big for your face like some can! xx

  4. Lashes are so fiddily. One day I will master them! I always have to trim them down when I attempt it though. I must have small eyes or they just make them really long!

    1. I'm the same - they always seem too wide for me. Since I've started trimming to make lashes narrower I've found them easier to apply so maybe that's the trick!
