I tend to paint my nails a good few times a week, so I thought I might do a round up post now and again of what my nails have been wearing. This week things have been rather varied - some nice bold nails to brighten up the first full five day week back at work.
Models Own| Prussian Blue (base) | Freak Out (glitter) | £5 each or 2 for £8 | Boots
Prussian Blue is a lovely navy that's not too dark and has a hint of grey about it. It's a perfect base for the blue, turquoise and pink mixed sized glitter of freak out from the Mirror Ball collection. People at work ask me how I did it when have nails like this - I clearly need to introduce them to the world of multi-glitter polishes!
Essie | Watermelon | £8 | Boots
This is definitely a summer shade - I wore it a lot when I was in Vegas so it reminds me of that too. I wore it this week to give me a much needed 'pop' among all this dreary weather. Sorry for the slightly grainy iphone pic, I blame the weather (again) for the poor lighting!
I was sent some new nail foils to play with, so I thought I'd try those out this week too. I'm not a huge zebra fan and wouldn't have picked these, but they look a lot nicer on than I expected. There are some lovely designs in the rest of the range that I really like, such as these ones with a coloured crystal design, but they seem to be sold out and I can only see the zebra ones online right now. It seems they're reduced to £2 too - totally worth snapping up a bargain at that price.
These were moderately easy to use compared to others I've tried. I only say moderately because the smallest foil was far too wide for my little finger so I had to do some diy to cut one to fit. Other than that application was fine and they seem to adhere a bit better than some others I've tried.
What do you think? Shall I try to make this kind of nail round up a regular feature?

ReplyDeleteIf M&S are sold out of that design you liked, I noticed Nailease sell a very similar one: http://www.nailease.co.uk/nail/black-multi-square-diamante
I am really tempted to get out a shade like Essie Watermelon right now, I just need a pop of colour! xx
