Kiko ready-to-go nail wraps

When these packs of *KIKO ready-to-go patch nail lacquer popped through my door last week I was about to go and see my friend Erica, so I decided to take them with me and see if she fancied a little manicure.

I let Erica choose which wraps she wanted to try and she went for the black and grey lacey pattern (taupe lace).  I opted for the not-so-subtle flourescent pink (fluo hot pink).

Each pack comes with two strips of 8 nail wraps, so plenty of sizes for getting a good fit.  You just peel the protective covering off the wraps and then choose the best fitting wrap by peeling the silver edge and sticking the wrap to your nail and smoothing it down.  If you've not used nail wraps before, have a look at the KIKO site - they have a great step by step photo tutorial here.

These are super easy to use and are much thinner than other nail wraps I've tried (the instructions say they're just three layers - base coat, colour and top coat) which made it simple to get good contact with the nail and a smooth, wrinkle-free finish.

I let Erica have the best wraps - the patterned ones - and I didn't expect much from the pink nail wraps I tried on myself.  I thought they'd just look like I'd used pink nail polish, so I was pleasantly surprised with the result.  The finish is rather perfect, so it looks more professional than I might achieve myself with normal polish, and the colour is really glossy too, they almost look like a gel polish.  Oh and in case you didn't notice, they're seriously bright.  Barbie called and she wants her nails back.

I really liked having my Barbie nails, so when I started to get chips and tip-wear I didn't want to take them off.  I didin't have a polish in my collection that matched so I picked out my brightest pink and went for these clashing fluro tips, which I thought looked quite fun.

KIKO ready-to-go patch nail lacquer costs £5.90 per pack and you can get them here.

Have you tried anything from KIKO before?

Keep up to date with all things flutter and sparkle in any of the following ways -
