In my shower - Organic Surge citrus mint shower gel and Nivea In-shower body moisturiser

I have two recent new additions to my collection of shower-time products - a tingly and fresh 'wake-me up' shower gel and a time-saving 'breaks all the rules' moisturiser.

The shower gel that's been perking me up in the mornings is the *Organic Surge invigorating citrus mint shower gel - it's a real zingy combo with mint, lemon and orange.  It's smells super amazing and and really wakes you up and leaves you feeling fresh and ready to go.  Although it's a strong zingy scent, it doesn't leave my skin uncomfortably tingly like some other minty shower gels I've tried.  It's currently on offer and only costs £3.26 from Organic Surge.

The strange newcomer to my shower cubicle is this *Nivea in-shower body moisturiser for dry skin.  It's a body moisturiser that you put on whilst you're still wet and in the shower, and then you shower it off.  Okay so this is a bit odd and not what I'm used to, but I really like the idea.  Generally I might skip moisturising after a shower as I don't have time to faff around.  I don't have particularly dry skin on my body so I can get away with it, and the days that I do bother to slather on a body cream are more of a treat.  With this product though, it takes no more time - you just put it on in the shower after washing, rinse it straight off, get dry and get dressed - done.  Unlike using a thick and rich body cream, there's no waiting for it to sink in and dry before you can get on with getting dressed.  Okay it's not as nourishing as it might be to use a fancy body souffle or the like, but it's great for quick, daily moisturising.  Thumbs up for a fab new idea.  This costs £3.56 for a 250ml size and you can get it at Boots.

Have you tried either of these?

  1. I've just tried the Nivea skin conditioner - really like the concept. Although it doesn't beat a good body cream it's fine for everyday use. I reviewed it here Louise Loves if you're interested. Got it for a great price in Savers!

    1. I love it for smooth underarms - I've really noticed a difference since using it. I feel weird putting a normal body lotion on there, but this feels more like a shower creme!
