Having never attempted to sleep in rollers or curlers before, I wasn't sure what to expect from sleep-in rollers. The possibility of curling my hair over-night hadn't really occurred to me before, so I was keen to give these a go to see if I could achieve big hair with minimal effort, as there's no way I'd have time to curl my hair the conventional way in the mornings.
*Sleep-in rollers come in loads of different varieties for various hair types, which you can view here - they even come in a glitter version! I chose these extra large sleep-in rollers for achieving big and bouncy hair. You can get these in the Hello big hair kit together with a styling product for £30.
The rollers are pretty big and are made of a squishy inner core and a velcro outer layer for gripping onto your hair.
I managed to get a pack and a half of these in my hair, although if I'd started out with narrower sections I might have got them all in. I sectioned off my hair and got to work adding the rollers. They're nice and easy to use as of course there's no heat involved, so no burnt fingers. I got the rollers in fairly neatly (on the left) and they were still all in place in the morning, if a little dishevelled looking from where I must have rolled around in my sleep (right).
And below you can see what my hair looked like before - just simply dried straight, and on the right, how it looked when I took the rollers out the next morning.
After a little bit of adjusting, this is how my hair ended up. I'm really impressed as I put the rollers in quite hap-hazardly and it's turned out really well. Next time I'd probably concentrate a few more around the top and crown to give a bit more height like in the front of my hair. And this is all without heat or any styling products!
I really like these rollers and will certainly be using them quite a bit for any time I want to wake up with effortless bouncy hair. The only real drawback for me is that to use them I need to wash and dry my hair at night because my hair gets greasy quickly. But if you have normal hair, you wouldn't need to worry.
I found it a bit odd to sleep in the rollers and my boyfriend laughed at me a lot when I got into bed. Although they're soft and squishy, laying down on them does take a bit of getting used to and it felt a bit uncomfortable. But, once I'd found a comfortable position I fell asleep and didn't wake up until the morning, and the results were worth it.

DeleteYour hair looks fab and you're a great advert for them! My only concern is like you I wash my hair daily and I'm not convinced even if I washed my hair before bed and popping these in my roots wouldn't still be greasy... that said I'm intrigued to try!

No I put them in completely dry hair - I don't think they would work in wet hair.
