Beauty: New Sleek blush by 3 palettes in Pink lemonade and Californ.I.A

I love a Sleek blush - rarely will you find anything more bold, bright and pigmented, so when I spotted two new blush by 3 palettes had been released, I needed to get my hands on them.

The two new palettes for this spring / summer are Californ.I.A and Pink Lemonade and they both contain bright but very wearable shades in hues of summery pink and orange.

Pink Lemonade is my favourite of the two palettes - generally I reach for a pinky blush on most days anyway, plus this palette has two powder blush shades, which I generally find easier to wear than creme blush as there's less effort involved!

The shades from left to right are icing sugar (powder), macaroon (creme) and pink mint (powder).  Icing sugar is my favourite and it's already been quite well used.  Applied lightly it gives a really lovely bright pink glow with just a hint of sparkle.

Californ.I.A is an all creme blush palette, which usually I wouldn't go for as generally I've powdered my foundation before I think about blush and by then it's too late to wear a creme product!  However I made an exception for this palette because I really like the colours.  As soon as the sun comes out for spring I start to go a little bit coral crazy, and this palette has two beautiful coraly tones as well as a pretty peach shade.

From left to right these are Newport Peach, The surf and OC.  All three are very pretty shades and because they're creme textures it's easier not to go overboard and apply too much.  The surf surprised me as my favourite of these three - it gives more glow than colour, and really adds an extra 'pop' to a bronzed face.

Sleek's blush by 3 palettes are £9.99 each and you can get them at Boots where they're currently on 3 for 2.

    1. I know, they could probably charge a lot more and I'd still buy them!

  2. When I first discovered Sleek makeup on UK beauty blogs, I really expected it to be a high-end brand. My mind was blown when I saw how affordable Sleek is. Both of those blush palettes are gorgeous, but I think that the first one is my favorite. :-)

    1. Since I wrote this post I've been making an effort to use them more too and they're really lovely - I may be a creme convert!

  4. I recently bought the pink lemonade palette and I'm so very happy with it. You can never go wrong with a sleek blush though in my opinion. I'm completely new to creme blushes and I have to say I was really pleased with this one, might have to branch out into the Californ.I.A palette sometime soon!

    1. If not that one Sleek have several other of these blush trio palettes - I've got a few of the earlier ones that came out which I think they still sell, and I love those ones too x
