Skincare: New from Hydraluron - moisture jelly review

Hydraluron serum is one of my skincare essentials for dehydrated areas of the face, so I got a little bit giddy when I heard that Indeed Labs were introducing a Hydraluron moisture jelly.  Bring on the hydration!

The Hydraluron family started out with the Hydraluron moisture booster serum which is used under moisturisers and other products to amplify their effects - you'll have heard of this even if you've not tried it - it's amassed quite the cult status.  Next came the Hydraluron moisture boosting masks, which are intended for a quick hit of intense hydration as a weekly or whenever-you-need-it treatment.  I'd not tried these before and gave one a go for the first time last week.  It's a sheet mask, so certainly one for using when you're home alone, doors locked and curtains drawn, but, it's totally worth looking a little bit serial-killerish for a few moments.  The mask is literally drenched in Hydraluron goodness and feels wonderfully cooling on the skin as it does its thing.  I left the mask on for around 20 minutes and when I took it off so much of the product had already disappeared into my skin and I massaged the rest in, not wasting any precious drops.  I think it's the perfect treatment to use before a big night out as it left my skin looking all nicely plumped up and youthful.

And here it is, the new kid on the block - Hydraluron moisture jelly.  Now the difference between this and the Hydraluron serum is that moisture jelly is intended to be used alone as a moisturiser.  It's still packed with as much hydraluronic acid as our laws will allow and is seriously thirst quenching for the skin.  It comes in a neat little jar which you press down on to dispense a little blob of the product (less than in this picture) and of course it keeps the rest fresh and germ free - I love this design.

On the skin moisture jelly feels somewhere between a really light gel and water - it glides across the skin and sinks in instantaneously.  You can use it morning and night, and I'll happily use this all over my face as it's completely oil free and is not going to upset my more combination areas.

Hydraluron moisture jelly is priced at £24.99 for 30ml, but all of the Hydraluron range currently has 1/3 off at Boots - go, go, go!

  1. Well I definitely need this then.. it sounds amazing. I didn't get on very well with the original Hydraluron, so I think this might be better! xx

    1. I'm honestly not sure who wouldn't like this - it's so light and water-like on the skin - I'm guilty of applying way too much! :)
