It's not often that I actually count down the days to a new product lunch hitting stores, but with the Body Shop body sorbets, I literally couldn't wait to get my hands on them. I first saw them on a youtube video a couple of months ago and wondered why I couldn't find them in store or online, and I got a bit sulky when I realised it was because they'd not been released! Well now they have, and I finally got to scratch that itch by grabbing the whole collection...
Body Shop actually sent me two of the body sorbets to try around the launch day and I was so impressed I went straight online and ordered all of the other fragrances! There are five different body sorbets available - they come in four fruity scents and one floral.
The fruities are strawberry, pink grapefruit, mango and satsuma and they all smell so amazingly fresh and fruity both in the tube and after you've applied them to your skin.
I also have the floral scent of the bunch which is Moringa - this one has a really sweet, delicate floral scent and it makes me think of honeysuckle.
On the skin the body sorbets are deliciously light and cool - they have a unusual sort of liquid gel texture, which is probably best described as a sorbet, and they just sink straight into the skin without feeling heavy or sticky. The body sorbets are cooling on the skin anyway, but my favourite thing to do with them has been to keep them in the fridge during the hot weather we've been having - applying these when they're ice cold on a super hot day is just the best - so refreshing and cooling on the skin.
I've been moisturising my whole body a lot more than usual since I got these because I'm hooked on both the scents and the lovely texture. I think these will be brilliant to apply after laying out in the sun on holiday, so I'll be popping a couple in my suitcase to take with me to Mexico.
All of the scents are really gorgeous, but my favourites have to be strawberry and mango. I'll definitely be buying these again when I run out.
The Body Shop body sorbets are available now both in store and online at thebodyshop.co.uk.
