Urband Decay's latest release is uber cool - far too cool for me in fact! If you're a Pulp Fiction fan and an Urban Decay addict, things just got rather exciting. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the movie, Urban Decay have launched this super edgy, slightly fierce, Mia Wallace-centric, limited edition make-up collection.
The packaging won't disappoint fans of the film - it's all emblazoned with the film's logo, the palette has some of the film's best-known quotes on it, and I love that the dangerous red shades in the collection are called "Mrs. Mia Wallace".
I get a lot of stick from certain people for my "boring" love of neutrals, so nobody's more excited than me that Urban Decay have managed to make my kind of colour palette look so up to the minute and lust-worthy. The five aptly named shades in this palette are right up my street. Righteous and Tyranny are gorgeous creamy matte shades, and Vengeance is such a great crease colour with a slightly satin finish. Furious is a proper white, which is something I don't really have in my collection, and Anger is a black with a slight sparkle to it. All of the shades are of the usual amazing Urban Decay quality - they all apply beautifully and are so strongly pigmented - no duds here at all.
The palette comes with a mirror, a double ended brush, and also a little instruction card showing you how to use the products to get that Mia Wallace look.
The matching lipstick and lip liner are a gorgeous deep red shade. They give a real statement deep red lip with a long lasting semi-matte finish.
The Heavy Metal liner from the collection is one of the most wearable glitter liner's I've come across. It's a mix of silver and black glitter, and I did as the card with the palette suggests, and wore it over the top of black liquid liner. I love the look this gives - just the right amount of sparkle while still getting the kind of definition I like.
And lastly this is the Pulp Fiction skull-topped nail polish in the shade Mrs Mia Wallace to match the lip products. It's a real deep blood red, and it has a fine golden metallic shimmer running through it.
Sorry for the slightly rushed photo which doesn't have the world's best lighting, but I'm wearing all of the eye and lip products, and the glitter liner is catching the light best in this one! I probably wouldn't usually do such strong eyes and lips at the same time, but separately I love the result from both.
Urban Decay's limited edition Pulp Fiction collection launches today (1 September) at Debenhams, House Of Fraser, Selfridges, John Lewis, BeautyBay and Feelunique.
I'm off on holiday now, so I'll leave you for the rest of this week and next in the very capable hands of some wonderful bloggers who've kindly agreed to guest post for me while I'm lying on the beach :) Sadly I didn't manage to get my August favourites done or all that much else in the lead up to my holiday - as usual I've been in a bit of a mad panic - no matter how organised I try to be and how many lists I right, I get so stressed about going on holiday and constantly worry about forgetting something! Anyway, if you want to see what I'm up to on holiday, you can keep in touch with me on instagram, and after that normal posts will return in about a fortnight. Until then, be cool hunny bunny :)
