Christmas Beauty: KIKO Luxurious Collection Precious Illuminating Bronzer and Luxurious Face Brush

When I first spotted the new Luxurious collection from KIKO I did a little squeal – everything is packaged so beautifully in a sleek pale gold, and I immediately knew I needed the Precious Illuminating Bronzer in my life!

The Precious Illuminating Bronzer and Luxurious Face Brush both come incredibly well packaged to protect the pretty gold outer casing from bumps and scratches. It’s a great idea, because they’re certainly the kind of products I’d want with me on the go for touch-ups – especially as the bronzer doubles up as a brilliant mirrored compact. The brush even has its own little zip up pouch which is dead cute as well as being completely practical.

The super soft kabuki brush has really densely packed bristles, so as well as being a perfect pairing with the bronzer, you could also use it for a loose setting powder or a powder foundation.

The bronzer is made up of a mixture of four different shades – a pink, a pale beige and two shades of bronze.  The beige colour is almost identical to my skin, so it makes it slightly difficult to see in the swatch!  Swirled together they give a really natural, glowy warmth to the skin which can be built up gradually, but not to the point of looking over-done on my light to medium skin-tone.  It's an illuminating bronzer, so I expected to get more of a glow, rather than it being the sort of bronzer you might contour with.

I was surprised to read that the bronzer is enriched with precious stones - the ingredients include amber, pearls, ruby, amethyst, nephrite and coral.  I guess I now understand why the bronzer is named 'precious'!

The glam compact has a great mirror, which is perfect for when I’m touching up at lunchtime or after work, and I love all the ooohs and aaahs I get when people see me whip this out!

KIKO's Luxurious collection also includes new eye colours, a mascara and a highlighting concealer pen.  The whole range is available now at kikocosmetics.co.uk priced between £8 and £18.

  4. Hmmm...I'd love to try the mascara, but I'm a sucker for gold packaging products. LOL. If it's flashy, I'd be drawn to it!
