Christmas Beauty: Beauty Christmas Crackers 2014

Following on from my post on this year's beauty advent calendars, I've spotted that a fair few brands are also offering Christmas cracker sets filled with makeup and bathing goodies.  I've seen lots of brands putting gift sets into single cracker shaped packaging, but these are all sets of crackers which you can actually pull across the dinner table, minus the naff hats and silly jokes...

The flashiest crackers around have to be these from Lancome and Harvey Nichols - they're pricey at £54 and £50, but you do get six crackers in each, and all contain a deluxe mini makeup, skincare or fragrance item.  M&S have a more budget friendly option - their crackers contain Autograph makeup products including mascara and lipgloss.  The pretty but not particularly festive Champneys crackers each contain a 50ml bubble bath, and the Studio London crackers sold at Superdrug are filled with mini nail polishes in winter appropriate sultry colours.

I love the girly packaging on the Secret Paradise crackers from asos - they're hiding sweet smelling bath fizzers inside.  Firebox also have nail polish crackers - Nails Inc don't appear to be making crackers this year, so these glittery numbers could be a good alternative.  Clarins are also offering a box of luxury crackers - you'll find these exclusive to Selfridges.  Also Bayliss and Harding's crackers filled with hand cream and shower gel are a great value treat.  Lastly No7 have released crackers to match their advent calendar - the six mini crackers contain Protect & Perfect skincare and No7 nail polishes.

I'm not sure how I originally missed this, but Kat has pointed out that Space NK have some gorgeous crackers this year too.  The Space NK set of six crackers costs £48, which is not cheap, but the contents is pretty amazing - there's a 30ml Caudalie beauty elixir and Laura Mercier primer involved!

I think the Autograph and No7 crackers are a great deal, and would go down really well at my Christmas dinner table, but my favourite has to be the Harvey Nichols crackers with brands like Laura Mercier and Deborah Lipmann - I'd be keeping those all to myself!
