When a product has the word 'amazing' in its title and uses tag lines like 'the world's best concealer' I'm both intrigued and sceptical in equal measure. I'm a big fan of high coverage concealers, and actually they're not easily found on the highstreet - lots of concealers I've tried make such a wishy-washy attempt at hiding flaws, so of course I needed to try the one which claims to be the best.
Amazing Cosmetics' Amazing Concealer comes in ten shades, which is a pretty vast range to suit the majority of skin tones. I went for the shade light golden - I have a fairly warm, medium skintone, but as most of the concealing action on my face takes place under and around my eyes to brighten and high-light, I went for a lightish colour. The concealer comes in two sizes - 6ml and 15ml - I have the smaller, and whilst it sounds like a tiny volume of product, it really is one of those formulas where a small dot of concealer goes and really long way.
The concealer has quite a thick, almost oily texture, which makes sense for a high coverage product, but it doesn't feel too heavy on the skin. It's very blendable, although I found it trickier to move it around on the drier areas of my face such as immediately under my eyes and it was prone to looking cakey in that area. On the rest of my face, I really liked both the texture and coverage and found the concealer to be really good at disguising redness and blemishes. Once applied, on me this concealer sets really nicely and lasts all day.
The Amazing Concealer is one of the best concealers I've tried despite it not working so well under my eyes - I generallt always need to use a lighter and brighter product in that area, almost to to illuminate and deflect more than to conceal. In my opinion it's most closely comparable to the Makeup Forever Full Cover concealer, which is my favourite high coverage concealer - I don't think it's quite as good, as I can use the MUFE one right under my eyes, but it comes close. It's also more easily available to us in the UK.
The Amazing Concealer is available in 6ml at £19.50 and 15ml at £29.50 at Marks and Spencer.
LOVE THIS CONCEALER. So much so I bought it in two shades, and my sister then robbed one of them. How rude.

Good for you if you don't need to - I'm envious!!
DeleteHmmm...I think the texture is too rich for me. I like slightly more watery concealers, like Maybelline's Lumi-something. Thanks for the review!

I like the more fluid textures from an application point of view, but I usually find they give less coverage on me :(
