Cute personalised necklaces by J&S from notonthehighstreet.com

I think I might be over big chunky statement necklaces, well at the minute anyway - I've done a complete one-eighty and am currently lusting after much smaller, daintier styles, particularly those with a handmade, quirky and individual feel.  When I was supposed to be shopping for gifts for others at notonthehighstreet.com before Christmas, I came across these sweet little personalised necklaces from a brand called J&S, run by sisters Jenny and Sophie.  They're exactly the kind of thing I'm into now, and I love that you can personalise them not only with an initial but also by making choices about the colours and pendant charms too.

I really admire people who start up their own businesses with things they've lovingly designed and made themselves.  I'd love to do the same, but I'm not sure I'm crafty enough, and I don't even really know where to start!  I waste many an afternoon virtually wandering an array of beautiful etsy jewellery shops, wanting to buy just about everything!

This rose gold coloured necklace is a cute little cluster of stars and I added a little bit of extra bling.  The necklace was fully customisable, so I got to choose from silver, yellow or rose gold, the initial star was optional, as well as the blank star.  The only static piece is the larger outline star - the rest is up to you, and you can add even more charms than I've done if you prefer a bolder effect.  You even get to choose from special packaging for birthdays, Christmas, bridesmaid gifts etc (mine's just the regular option as I wasn't giving this as a gift) and you can choose which colour organza bag the jewellery will come in.

The design your own star necklace starts at £15.60 and with the options I chose it came to £18.

My second necklace from J&S is the mini enamel dot necklace.  This one only came in a gold option, but I got to choose the colour of the little enamel dot, and added an initial star - you can also get a chunky letter charm.  I chose a mint dot, and although it's looking a little more like an apple green in my image, it is a paler mint in real life and it's ever so dainty and perfect.  This one starts at £11.20 and came to £12.80 with the extras I chose.

I'm so happy with these lovely little finds and will be bookmarking J&S jewelery for future as I'm sure I'll want to go back for something else  they'd make great gifts too.
