Panasonic EW-DE92 sonic vibration rechargeable toothbrush review

So as mentioned pre-Christmas in this post, I've been trying out an electric toothbrush for the first time and oh my goodness, what a game changer!

The Panasonic EW-DE92 sonic vibration rechargeable toothbrush uses sonic-speed vibrations (up to 31,000 strokes per minute!) and ionic current to deeply clean your teeth, loosen plaque and tackle stains.  It comes complete with three different brush heads - the triple edge brush for every day use, the ionic two way silicone brush for stimulating gums and a point brush for spot cleaning harder to reach areas.  There are also four different brushing modes - white, soft, sensitive and gum care - and a timer to let you know when you've reached the optimum two minute brushing time.

As a total newbie to electric toothbrushes, I found the cleaning sensation quite odd at first, but I soon got used to it after a couple of days - the soft start function helps to ease you in.  I also had to keep reminding myself not to make the usual brushing motions, and just to slowly move the brush around my mouth!  My teeth immediately feel so much cleaner than with normal brushing after using this toothbrush, and I really feel like I'm taking better care of my teeth.  I've only used the triple edge brush so far, and mainly the whitening function, as we all want whiter teeth, but I should probably start giving the sensitive setting a try, as  do suffer quite a bit with sensitivity when I eat and drink really cold things.

After a full charge I've found the toothbrush lasts me well over two weeks, before I need to charge again, which means you can take it on holiday without worrying about different power supplies and carrying plugs around.  There's a handy little plastic case included in the kit too, which fits the toothbrush body and one head nice and snugly for travel.

Usually costing £199.99, the Panasonic EW-DE92 is currently on offer for half price at £100 at Boots.

I need to make sure I get myself a few back-ups of the triple edge brush for when mine needs replacing so that I that I can keep using this toothbrush.  Manual brushing?  Ain't nobody got time for that :)
