Trying out my first NUXE products

Recently I had the opportunity to try my first ever products from Nuxe, a French brand specialising in natural-origin ingredient products based around aromatherapy and phytotherapy (don't worry if you have to look the second one up on Wikipedia, I did too!).

First up, the most exciting and intriguing product (to me anyway) of the three - Huile Prodigieuse OR - multi-purpose dry oil.

This is a dry body oil with a golden shimmer - you can see the make up of the product more clearly in the last picture as the ingredients start to separate when the product has sat still for a while.  A little shake and it's ready to use.  The spray pump gives control over the amount of oil you're using - I was pleased to see this as for some reason I had expected a pour top and had visions of me making a real mess splashing the oil everywhere.

Now if you don't know, the difference with a 'dry' oil is that it's absorbed pretty much instantly into the skin and it doesn't leave any greasy residue.  This dry oil is multi-purpose and can be used anywhere on the face or body and even hair to give instant moisturisation and a fabulous shimmer.

You can see in the swatches the lovely shimmer this gave on the inside of my arm - just imagine that in summer on tanned legs, fab.  I've also given this a go on my collarbones on a night out just to add something a little extra special to my look.

This is £38.00 for 100ml, which is rather pricey I know, but I can tell this will last me a very long time as you only need a tiny amount.  It also comes in a 50ml size - both are available on feel unique.

Next, the Rieve de Miel hand and nail cream.  You have no idea how much it annoys me that I took this photo the wrong way up.  Anyway, I need to get over that and on with the review.  This is a lovely hand cream which I've been relying on over the winter months.

It's a plain white cream with a lovely delicate smell  of honey and sunflower and it instantly hydrates my hands and feels especially comforting after being out in the harsh winter weather.

This product costs £10 for 75ml and you can also get it here on feel unique.

And finally  I tried out the Reve de Miel lip moisturising stick.  This also has honey and sunflower, which gives a lovely fragrance to the lip balm.  To me it smelt of honey and lemon, although I know it's not lemon fragrenced.  Maybe that's just my nose!

I've literally used this lip balm daily over winter - it was originally shaped like a proper lipstick bullet and as you can see I've worn it right down.

I was actually surprised by the price on this one - it's £5.50 on Feel Unique - I thought it was going to be a lot more.

Having a browse I've seen that Nuxe also have an ultra nourishing lip balm in a jar, which looks to me like the perfect over night lip care product.  Actually I noticed quite a few Nuxe products that look pretty good, so here are the ones making it onto my wishlist - all available at Feel Unique.

Have you used Nuxe products before?  What do you recommend I need to try next?

  1. I received the gold dry oil as part of my Feel Unique Beauty box and it's so pretty and shimmery! Unfortunately it is a pour top rather than a spray because it's a sample so I'll have to be careful not to get oil everywhere when I do use it.

The other Nuxe products on the Feel Unique website sound great too - especially the Gentle Purifying and Clarifying Mask! xx

    1. I didn't realise it had just been in a beauty box! The mask sounds good, I shall look that up xx

  2. I haven't tried the dry oil with the sparkle but the regular dry oil is gorgeous, as is the all in one cleansing water with 3 roses. The lip balm in the pot is my absolute winter hero product though, you must try it!

    1. So glad to hear a recommendation on the lip treatment. It looked good to me, but even better to find someone who loves it, thank you!

  3. Please update my button on your sidebar as my Photobucket has ran out of bandwidth. The new one is on my sidebar.. its still the same design :)

    Thank you xx

  4. Ooooh my work colleague is French & she always has Nuxe products on hand. She gave me some of the hand cream last week & I am officially in LOVE! It is gorguz :) and I've had that stunning looking dry oil on my wishlist for yonks! :D

    Love Aysh xoxo
