We've booked to stay in THE Hotel at Mandalay Bay (the tower on the left in the picture) and then moving on to The Mirage for the second half of our holiday.
I'm about to go absolutely planning crazy, so if you've been to Vegas and have any tips for me on things we must see / eat / do / buy, please leave them in the comments below.
Sorry I just had to share my excitement, and be warned I'll bore you to death with photos when I get back!
hope you have a great time! it looks fab :D voted for you - good luck!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! xx
DeleteAhhh I'd love to go to Vegas. Sorry I can't help suggest places to go and things to see though, I'm still persuading my boyfriend that Vegas is where we should go next xx
ReplyDeleteDo it, do it! =)
DeleteOoooh so jealous! Have been to Vegas twice, it's fantastic. Would really recommend Forum Shops at Caesars palace for shopping - all in doors so nice and cool, the ceilings look incredible (painted like the sky!) and lots of really good shops. I also recommend Fat Tuesday's for ice blended cocktails - you get them in a refillable yard stick/jug/cup of your choice and there are a few different spots around the Strip where you can get a refill for a much smaller price. As for food.. you HAVE to try Cheesecake Factory! For a really good view of Vegas, go to the top of the Statosphere hotel (it's like top of Empire State in NY basically) and there is also a restaurant and rides (eek!) up there. Oh and of course you must see the water show outside the Bellagio (on the hour and half past). Finally, my favourite Vegas show is the Cirque du Soleil Beatles Love which is actually at The Mirage, so if you like that sort of thing you should be able to get a good discount what with staying there!
ReplyDeleteOk I need to shut up now haha xx
Thank you for all your fab tips - I'm copying and pasting them all into a little planning word document I've got going on! xx
DeleteWow, have a wonderful time - I've never been to Vegas, but my friends who have been have always loved it! x

DeleteAhhh so excited for you, i went to Las Vegas for my 21st in October 2010.... was the best holiday ever. You will love the aquarium at Mandaly bay, if you are over 21 then in the MGM hotel there is an amazing outside club/bar called Wet Republic, it is free to get in and is amazing for sunbathing with a DJ playing during the day however drinks are expensive. Hard Rock cafe is amazing, also the Cheese cake factory in the Caesars palace shops is a definite must!!!! Hooters is also a fun night out and actually has some great food...! There is also a nice sports bar opposite the MGM hotel that your BF would love. The roller coaster on top of the New York hotel is fun. There is also some great shopping in either the shops on the main strip or there is a outlet store a short bus/taxi ride away.... if you need anymore info then please don't hesitate to let me know. You will have a great time. Soo jealous!!

Congrats on your anniversary. I live in socal so I go to Vegas every 3 months. Plus I have family there. Here are my recommendations. Definitely check out serendipity 3 at ceasers palace. if you've seen the movie then you'll want to check out their famous frozen hot chocolate. I love that place! Also the best shopping is probably the forum at ceasers or miracle mile shops at planet hollywood or the fashion show mall on las vegas blvd. There's also the outlets! There are a million nightclubs but the ones I like the most are LAX at luxor or tryst at wynn. Marquee at the cosmopolitan (my favorite hotel) is really popular but they are always super packed, but is soo incredible inside and they usually have a really famous dj. They also have this zipline in downtown las vegas, it's pretty fun. You have to see the Bellagio fountains and a cirque show, they are a must! lol. Also if you plan to get drunk fat tuesdays is pretty famous cause when you get to vegas you'll see that you can drink literally everywhere and everyone has a huge drink container. lol. But you could always get free drinks if you gamble, you just have to tip the waitresses. Oh also try going up the "eiffel tower" they have a pretty awesome view of Vegas up there. I've stayed at THE Hotel and you should definitely go to the huge pools at the mandalay, I mean they have a man made beach. lol. The most luxurious hotels are the bellagio, palazzo, cosmopolitan, wynn, encore, venetian. I would avoid circus circus, stratosphere, excalibur lol they aren't very modern. Always ask for a free upgrade when you check in, cause maybe they might give it to you and ask for coupons! because you can get deals for shows or buffets. Sorry for the long reply. I hope you have a lot of fun.
