All five shades of the Whipped Velvet Lips apply really smoothly and easily. They give an almost opaque coverage which you can build, and they're not at all drying on the lips. I found that they wear for a good few comfy hours before you need to reapply. My favourite colour at the moment is ritzy, which is a strawberry shade, but I'm sure I'll be on to the paler rococo and hedonic as I shake winter off that little bit more. I'm really impressed with the quality of these, and they're only £3 each.
Also new to the MUA Luxe range are five Whipped Velvet blushes with a similar light, whipped texture. They come in the same five shades, so you can totally coordinate your lips and cheeks. They're also £3 each, and the coral shade - chichi - has immediately landed on my wish list.
Another new launch for MUA this spring is Pout Prime which looks like a chubby white pencil. It's a cross between a lip balm and a primer which you can apply to your lips before the Whipped velvets, or before any other lip colour, to give you a smooth base and to help colour last. I really like this for making my lips look like they're in better condition as I always suffer with some dry, flakiness in the winter, and it can make some lipsticks (especially matte ones) look terrible on me! For £3 Pout Prime sorts that out, and it also helps to prevent any bleeding and feathering of dark lip colours.
All of these new launches are available now at muastore.co.uk
The colours of the lip shades look really good - I'll definitely be keeping an eye open for ritzy, such a nice pink! x

DeleteChichi is so my shade! Cannot wait to grab it!
ReplyDeleteHope you like it!
DeleteThese look like fab new releases, i'm quite fancying 'Spry' and i'd definitely buy the primer to go with it because like yours, my lips have a tendency to be all dry and weird with any kind of matte lip product, I do have a primer on the end of a Jemma Kidd lippy which I tend to use with matte products but it'd be even more convenient to have one on its own
